“…Civilization of Love is built, undoubtedly, focusing life on the Gospel of the Lord. Be the young Samaritans who never leave a wounded man on the road. Be the young Cirineans who help Christ to carry his Cross and get involved in the suffering of their brothers and sisters. Be like Zacchaeus, who transforms his materialistic heart into a solidary heart. Be like the young Magdalena, passionate seeker of love, who finds the answer she needs only in Jesus. Have the affection of John, to rest all your affections in Him. Have the open heart of Mary, to sing for joy and to do His will.
Civilization of Love asks you to have the same feelings as Jesus Christ. Do not fool yourselves. All you seek with passion is found in Him.
But, building the Civilization of Love also means a commitment in you. As Pastor of the Church, I want to ask you to be young of hope, that ardently seek justice, that live without claudicating the truth, that overcome all oppressions that hinder you to be free and that, in solidarity, you serve especially the poorest and most suffering people.
Civilization of Love must unite those who work for peace, those who reject violence, those who have a clean heart and those who mourn their anguish waiting to be comforted”…
